In the autumn of 2027, Ciao Giulia takes you on a 8-day slow food journey through Tuscany, right in the middle of the harvest season. This is when everything comes together: grapes are picked, olives are harvested, and kitchens are in full swing… and you’re right in the middle of it.
We go truffle hunting in the Tuscan hills, join a pasta and pizza workshop, discover how pecorino is made, and taste wines and olive oils directly with the producers. A true highlight: you’ll spend a day driving a vintage Fiat 500 through the countryside, from vineyard to village, from table to table.
Tasty Tuscany is a small-group journey for those who love food, but especially want to understand where flavors come from. A week where you slow down, follow the rhythm of the harvest, and experience Tuscany as it’s meant to be.
This trip is fully all-in, including all meals and alcohol, so you don’t have to think about a thing.
Are you coming along?
What to expect?
At Tasty Tuscany, it’s all about slow food, which means lots of tasting, hands-on workshops and truly understanding where your food comes from.
Every day, we venture out to learn from local producers and artisans and we get involved ourselves. We make our own pecorino cheese, hunt for truffles with a guide, explore the journey from grain to bread, hand-knead pasta, and discover how authentic olive oil and wine are crafted.
This isn’t a tourist show where you just watch. It’s a journey to feel, taste, and create yourself.

Your itinerary
Day 1-2
After arrival, you’ll settle into our agriturismo in the heart of the Val d’Orcia. We ease into the week: a first exploration of the surroundings, an apéritivo at sunset, and a 4-course dinner with products that come straight from the land.
The next day, we dive right in. We visit a local cheese farm, see how pecorino is made, and taste the difference. Afterwards, we head to Pienza and end the day in the thermal baths.
Day 3-4
We start the day in the forest, together with an experienced truffle hunter and his dogs.
This isn’t a demonstration from a distance: you head out yourself, and afterwards, you taste what you’ve just found.
The next day is one to remember: you get behind the wheel of your own vintage Fiat 500 and drive through Tuscany just as you imagine it: winding roads, open landscapes, and stops along the way, including an olive oil tasting.
Day 5-6
Today, we do what the locals do: we start the day at the market, where you see what people really eat, and then head into the kitchen ourselves.
During a pizza workshop with a true pizzaiolo, you’ll make your own dough, toss it in the air, and bake it in a wood-fired oven.
The next day, we visit a remarkable winery, where an extensive tasting and a culinary dinner await.
Day 7-8
During the final days, you step into the kitchen once more. You’ll learn how to make fresh pasta the way it’s been done here for generations: by hand, with local ingredients, and without rushing.
And of course, you’ll taste everything you make.
We end the journey together with a final culinary dinner. You leave with more than memories: with flavors, techniques, and the feeling that you’ve truly come to know Tuscany.
Your itinerary through Tuscany
During Tasty Tuscany, we stay amidst the picturesque landscape of the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with rolling hills, cypress-lined roads, and medieval villages.
From our agriturismo, we visit charming towns like San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza, and Bagno Vignoni, as well as lesser-known villages where life moves slowly and authentically. Along the way, we meet local producers who embrace the zero-kilometer principle. We taste, learn, and cook with what the region offers: pure, seasonal, and straight from the land.
Your accommodation during the trip
Our accommodation is located on a hill in the heart of the Val d’Orcia. This historic family farmhouse embodies the values of our journey: local, pure, and in harmony with the surroundings.
We stay exclusively in the detached guesthouse of the agriturismo: a beautiful, private spot on the estate reserved just for our group. No other guests share the space, creating a homely atmosphere and the peacefulness of the Tuscan countryside. Each room has its own character and comes with a private ensuite bathroom, handmade soap and shampoo, towels, a hairdryer, and stunning panoramic views over the valley. From the shared lounge, you can gaze out at the hills and fields where our food is grown.
Good to know: Our agriturismo also runs its own vegetable garden and cooks according to the zero-kilometer principle: what’s harvested goes straight to the table. Seasonal, sustainable, and prepared with love. The perfect home base for our Tasty Tuscany trip.
