Slow travel is all about traveling slowly and mindfully—taking the time to truly experience a place, connect with locals, and venture off the beaten path. At Ciao Giulia, quality comes before quantity: ticking off fewer sights and savoring more moments of genuine enjoyment.
For who are the 'Ciao Giulia' trips?
Our trips are perfect for anyone who values peace, authentic experiences, and meaningful immersion. We primarily cater to middle-aged travelers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, and France seeking small-scale, unique journeys.
Please note: our group tours are adults-only (18+), allowing everyone to fully enjoy the calm and relaxed atmosphere. If you wish to travel with children, we’re happy to create a personalized Italy trip tailored just for you!
Are your trips sustainable?
Yes! We deliberately choose small-scale accommodations, support local businesses, and travel with respect for nature and the local culture.
How can I book a trip?

About our group trips
How big are the groups?
We always travel in small groups of maximum 10-12 people to keep the experience personal and ensure everyone can fully enjoy it.
Are your trips suitable for solo travelers?
Yes, solo travelers are definitely welcome! Please note that our prices are based on double rooms and shared vehicles. If you prefer a single room or want to ride a Vespa or Fiat 500 alone, a supplement will apply.
How much free time is there during the group trip?
Although we offer a well-planned program, we ensure plenty of free time to explore at your own pace, enjoy a café terrace, or simply relax at the accommodation.
Do I need experience driving Vespas or Fiat 500s?
Some experience is preferred but not required. You will receive clear instructions and practice sessions before we set off. Riding in a group is safe, and we always maintain a relaxed pace.
Can I join a group trip on my own?
Yes, you can join alone. Please note that the price is based on double rooms and shared vehicles. If you want a single room or to ride solo on a Vespa or Fiat 500, you can book these options additionally.
Are meals included?
Yes, all meals mentioned in the program are included. During free time, you can choose where and when to have lunch or dinner. Breakfast is included daily.
What extras can I optionally book?
You can make your trip even more enjoyable and hassle-free with our optional extras:
- Vespa and Fiat 500 insurance – Avoid paying a deposit and protect yourself against unexpected costs.
- Riding solo on your Vespa or Fiat 500 – For an additional fee, you won’t have to share your vehicle and can enjoy complete freedom.
- Single room – Prefer a room to yourself? This is available for an additional fee.
- Private experiences – Think exclusive wine tastings, a hot air balloon ride, or a relaxing massage.
How much physical effort do our trips require?
Our trips are relaxed and accessible. Walks are optional, and Vespa rides are at a gentle pace.
What about insurance for the Vespa and Fiat 500?
You can optionally add insurance, so you won’t have to pay a deposit and will be protected against damage. We highly recommend this, and you can easily book it in advance with your trip.
What if I need to cancel?
We always recommend travel and cancellation insurance. You can find the cancellation policy in our general terms and conditions.

In what format will I receive the travel guide?
The most popular and eco-friendly option is a digital PDF, which you receive immediately after purchase. Perfect for use on your phone, tablet, or to print yourself—so you always have access to your guide during your trip.
Prefer a printed version? That’s possible too! If you’d like a tangible keepsake or space to write your own notes, we’ll gladly send the travel guide to you by mail. Please note that shipping costs will apply.
Are the travel guides also suitable for road trips?
Yes! Our travel guides include planned routes with recommendations for stops, restaurants, and unique experiences along the way.

- Feedback round, during which you can request adjustments.
- We incorporate the feedback and finalize your trip.
