At the end of summer 2027, Ciao Giulia takes you on an exclusive 11-day round trip through Tuscany, exploring the most beautiful places in the region. From the cultural heart of Florence to the rolling vineyards of Chianti, via the UNESCO landscapes of the Val d’Orcia and historic towns such as Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and Lucca, this journey combines iconic highlights with lesser-known stops along the way.
During the trip, you will stay in local accommodations and travel comfortably by private minibus. Along the way, you will discover vibrant cities, quiet villages, and the characteristic Tuscan landscape.
Golden Tuscany is a small-group journey (max. 12 people), designed for those looking for a high-quality, well-balanced Italy experience with depth, variety, and meaningful moments. Ideal for couples, solo travelers, groups of friends, and families. Age doesn’t define the experience — it’s about how you choose to travel. Please note: our group trips are 18+ only. You’ll be guided by the Ciao Giulia team, with support in Dutch, French, English, and Italian.
What to expect?
During Golden Tuscany, you travel from Florence to the vineyards of Chianti and the rolling hills and cypress-lined landscapes of the Val d’Orcia, with stops in Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and Lucca.
Along the way, you experience Tuscany as it’s meant to be: wine tastings in Chianti, local dishes shared at the table, and hands-on moments like a cooking class and a vespa day through the countryside.
You stay in small-scale accommodations and travel in comfort with a private minibus and driver.
This isn’t a journey where you quickly tick things off, but one where you get to know Tuscany step by step.

Your itinerary
Day 1–2: Florence & Chianti
You arrive in Florence and get your first impression of the city.
From there, we head into the Chianti region, where the landscape shifts to rolling hills covered in vineyards. We pass through small villages like Greve in Chianti, stop at local wineries, and enjoy our first wine tasting.
Along the way, there’s time for a relaxed lunch among the vines and to explore charming wine villages at your own pace.
Day 3–4: Val d’Orcia
We continue towards the Val d’Orcia, one of Tuscany’s most iconic landscapes: think cypress-lined roads, soft rolling hills, and endless views.
We explore Pienza, known for its pecorino, and Montepulciano, where we wander through its streets and taste local specialties. Along the way, we stop at panoramic viewpoints and small villages where life still moves at a slower pace.
Day 5–7: Siena & San Gimignano
We discover Siena and its surroundings, with time to explore the city and wander at your own pace.
There’s also room for variety: a hidden swimming spot in nature, lunch in a medieval village, and a visit to San Gimignano, known for its distinctive towers and sweeping views over the countryside.
Day 8–11: Pisa, Lucca & Florence
In the final days, we head to Pisa and Lucca. You’ll see the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa before continuing to Lucca: a city that invites you to slow down: cycling along the city walls, wandering through its streets, and enjoying a final leisurely lunch.
We end the journey with a day in Florence, from where you’ll head back home.
Your route through Tuscany
During Golden Tuscany, you travel through different parts of Tuscany, each with its own atmosphere and landscape: from the city of Florence to the vineyards of Chianti and the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia.
We stay multiple nights in each region and structure the journey in a thoughtful way, so you’re not constantly on the move but have the time to truly experience each place.
Along the way, you discover both well-known cities like Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and Lucca, as well as smaller villages and panoramic spots. We balance culture and nature, with moments like a hidden swimming spot, a lunch among the vineyards, and time to simply linger.
You’ll also get to know the Tuscan cuisine: from local specialties in Pienza and Montepulciano to a wine tasting in Chianti.
Where you’ll stay during our journey
During Golden Tuscany, you stay in one carefully selected location per region. From this base, we explore the surroundings at a relaxed pace, so you’re not constantly on the move and don’t have to repack your bags every day.
We consciously choose small-scale, locally run accommodations: a charming agriturismo among the vineyards, a peaceful stay in the hills, or a characterful hotel in the city. Everywhere, you’ll stay in comfortable double rooms, with amenities like quiet outdoor spaces and a pool to unwind after a day out.
This way, you get more out of your days and truly enjoy where you stay.
