What to expect?
At Tasty Tuscany, it’s all about slow food, which means lots of tasting, hands-on workshops and truly understanding where your food comes from.
Every day, we venture out to learn from local producers and artisans and we get involved ourselves. We make our own pecorino cheese, hunt for truffles with a guide, explore the journey from grain to bread, hand-knead pasta, and discover how authentic olive oil and wine are crafted.
This isn’t a tourist show where you just watch. It’s a journey to feel, taste, and create yourself.

Your itinerary
Arrival Day
Welcome to Tuscany! Upon arrival at our charming agriturismo, you’ll settle into your private room in a beautifully restored guest house, exclusively for our group.
Take your time to explore the estate and get to know your fellow travelers.
As the sun sets, we’ll raise a glass to the week ahead with a traditional Italian aperitivo. Afterwards, we gather for our first dinner together: a refined 4-course tasting menu filled with local flavors and Tuscan flair.
Day 2 – Sunday
Today we immerse ourselves in the world of pecorino during a special visit to a small, family-run farm. We’ll enjoy a guided tour, learn about the aging process, and discover the age-old traditions behind this iconic cheese. A delicious farm-to-table lunch, freshly prepared with local ingredients, follows.
In the afternoon, we visit the charming town of Pienza and unwind in soothing natural thermal baths.
The day ends in a picturesque village, where a memorable dinner awaits: the perfect conclusion to a flavorful day.
Day 3 – Monday
We begin the day with a unique encounter: a walk through the woods with a local truffle hunter and his loyal dog. As we wander, we learn about the fascinating world of truffle hunting: a delicate balance of instinct, tradition, and season.
Afterwards, we explore the small village of San Giovanni d’Asso and its truffle museum.
As evening falls, we gather for something truly special: a Sunset Negroni Experience at an exclusive location, followed by a refined dinner with sweeping views over the Tuscan hills.
Day 4 – Tuesday
Today we hop into our iconic vintage Fiat 500s for a day full of discovery and Tuscan charm.
We tour through rolling landscapes, stopping in authentic villages along the way for surprise visits, local activities, and (of course) the best gelato in the region.
In the afternoon, we take in the views on a scenic drive back to the agriturismo.
After a full day, we unwind with a relaxed group dinner back at the estate.
Day 5 – Wednesday
We start the day at a relaxed pace with a visit to a local market. Among stalls filled with fragrant herbs, fresh cheeses, and colorful produce, we sample regional delights and chat with the proud local vendors.
In the early afternoon, it’s time to roll up our sleeves during a hands on pizza making workshop. We learn the art of kneading dough, choose our favorite toppings, and bake our creations in a traditional wood-fired oven, guided by an authentic pizzaiolo.
Day 6 – Thursday
After a calm morning, the afternoon draws us into the rhythm of the vineyard.
We visit a unique winery where craftsmanship and tradition come together among the vines. During a scenic walk through the fields and cellar, we uncover the journey from grape to bottle (and perhaps even pick a few bunches ourselves).
A guided tasting follows, featuring a limited-production wine made in just 1,000 bottles per year, paired with carefully selected local delicacies.
The day ends with an amazing dinner overlooking the vineyard.
Day 7 – Friday
On our final full day, we return to the roots of Tuscan cuisine: grain, craft, and tradition.
We visit a working grain farm where, under the guidance of local farmers, we learn the techniques behind making fresh pasta and bread by hand.
The afternoon brings one last surprise activity at a gentle pace, a final chance to soak in the surroundings.
In the evening, we gather once more for a cozy farewell dinner, including a wine tasting: a warm tribute to the moments, flavors, and memories we’ve shared throughout the week.
Departure Day
After our final breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to this beautiful place, to one another, and to the flavors that brought us together.
You return home with a heart full of memories (and perhaps a few bottles of wine or pieces of pecorino tucked into your bag).
Who knows… until the next journey?
Your itinerary through Tuscany
During Tasty Tuscany, we stay amidst the picturesque landscape of the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with rolling hills, cypress-lined roads, and medieval villages.
From our agriturismo, we visit charming towns like San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza, and Bagno Vignoni, as well as lesser-known villages where life moves slowly and authentically. Along the way, we meet local producers who embrace the zero-kilometer principle. We taste, learn, and cook with what the region offers: pure, seasonal, and straight from the land.
Your accommodation during the trip
Our accommodation is located on a hill in the heart of the Val d’Orcia. This historic family farmhouse embodies the values of our journey: local, pure, and in harmony with the surroundings.
We stay exclusively in the detached guesthouse of the agriturismo: a beautiful, private spot on the estate reserved just for our group. No other guests share the space, creating a homely atmosphere and the peacefulness of the Tuscan countryside. Each room has its own character and comes with a private ensuite bathroom, handmade soap and shampoo, towels, a hairdryer, and stunning panoramic views over the valley. From the shared lounge, you can gaze out at the hills and fields where our food is grown.
Good to know: Our agriturismo also runs its own vegetable garden and cooks according to the zero-kilometer principle: what’s harvested goes straight to the table. Seasonal, sustainable, and prepared with love. The perfect home base for our Tasty Tuscany trip.
About the agriturismo
We stay at a historic, working farm in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, where tradition and simplicity come together. Everything here breathes slow living: from the homegrown vegetable garden to the homemade meals.
Our rooms
We stay in a separate guesthouse, exclusively for our group. The rooms are stylish in their simplicity, featuring warm details, private ensuite bathrooms, and views of the surrounding hills and fields.
The surroundings
Surrounded by rolling hills and golden wheat fields, our accommodation is nestled in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage area. The silence, the light, and the expansive views make this place truly unique, at any time of the day.
